We chose a wet and stormy day to hike up Rocky Point. Here we were just below the last climb up to the peak, looking back, and you can see the very low and threatening clouds. |
Some of the boulders on the way up the last ascent. |
Another look back down the valley, you can see Steamboat down the valley on the left. |
When we got up near the top the clouds finally rolled in, and we hung out under a rock for a while to see if the rain would ever end. |
Another picture of the fog while we were waiting. |
We finally decided to go up to the top through the rain and clouds, since we were so close. The fog did make it quite pretty. |
A big rock we came across on the way back down. I didn't take any pictures from the top since we couldn't see anything. |
More fog on the way down. |
More rocks and fog. It kind of reminded me of a snowstorm it was so hard to see. |
We finally found the bottom of the clouds just above the beaver ponds in the valley. |
Another shot from the bottom of the clouds. |
